I think you're right Ross, regarding the Materials stage and the hardscape materials.

As far as modular prebuilt kitchen and fireplace set-ups, the issue is that it depends on the manufacture you're working with. Each company has different set-ups (Bull vs. Lynx, Firemagic vs. DCS, etc.) and as such there are no real templates that Pool Studio can create. Best bet is to select your standard pre-builts from which ever manufacture you work with, and create them as Ross said. Save them as a template and you can use them over and over again, the dimensions, materials, everything would be accurate based on the specs of your equipment, not a "standard" pre-built. It's actually fun to create.

When you refer to Hardscapes, do you mean the Hardscapes stage, or material choices in the Materials stage?

We have recently updated with products from Pavestone in Materials and frequently add new patterns to the categories.

We give you the tools to create things like the outdoor kitchens and fireplaces, and you can then save them into your Library.

Please let me know if you were referring to something not covered here.

Is there any thought to updating the hardscape library? Most importantly would be retaining wall styles and colors either from Pavestone or other manufactures. And, just as important would be outdoor modular prebuilt kitchen and fireplace set-ups like so many people are asking for now.

As the others explained, there is an autosave in place. Go to File then Restore Latest Autosave, or go to File>Open>AutoSave and check the files inside.

As for the crash, is it after a specific action that you are undoing, such as drawing or deleting etc? Is it everytime you CTRL+Z or just occasionally?

I have been working for a high end pool builder for the past 6 years in their design and development department.
I am now venturing out on my own to start some free lance design work.
I have been freelancing for about 5 months now, and it's great!
What I typically like to do is study the photos of a proposed pool location and match that as closely as possible in Pool Studio, including the house, slope, trees, and other surroundings.
From there I begin work on the pool-scape, designing it to fit the location and surroundings.
I can do anything from the standard, simple, inexpensive project starting at $75, to very complex, modern, zero edge designs starting at $150. Of course, the more complicated and time consuming the project the more it will affect the cost of the design.
I can work from your 2d designs in .pdf format, .dwg cad format, and .jpg, or design from scratch.

Autosave is one of the best features and has saved me many hours of time by saving the file. It's simple, and under the C:\ drive there is an autosave file to look at additional files.

There is an Autosave. After a crash re open the program and click on "Open Design" should be there in Alpha order. It saves avery 5 minutes.

My Pool Studios program has crashed on Control+Z (undo) twice now. It shuts the program down completely.

Kind of annoying having to rebuild things twice as I can't seem to find an autosave feature or file.

Can you please design an autosave with a time control feature. ie Save every 5 minutes.
